VAMPYRE ON MY MIND

Alig vocals, keyboards and programming. This one was written on the marimba, but suddenly turned into an Electro vampyre synth song. Something or someone is making everything the same! I wrote the lyrics languishing in a velvet lined antique mahogany coffin, drinking fresh (vegetarian) virgin’s blood.

 

IT'S 1965

This one was written and recorded way back in 1995, in that Brixton squat. Alig wrote the song and Professor Zoom modified the lyrics in his exhilarating version. Grahame Painting played the vicious lead and fuzz guitars – in fact Rick Wilson (vintage FF drummer) had to be retired hurt half way through the session, and Grahame took over on drums as well. Mick Hobbs pumping away on bass and Alig on the rhythm guitar. Professor Zoom on vocals. One of my favourite ever lyrics. ‘Imagine the dream of Martin Luther King – Imagine John Lennon alive – Imagine Abraham, Marvin and John – imagine yourself – imagine anyone - Imagine animals – herding men – imagine that you – were a child again – whooah it’s 1965 – whooah it’s 1965!’ Rip it all up and start over!
